Hello & Welcome!

Hey there - I'm glad you're here!

My name is Iris. I'm 27 years old, and I'm a Doctor and Health & Fitness Coach. I grew up in South Jersey for most of my life, and I’m moving to NYC for Residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) in less than 6 months. I graduated from The College of New Jersey in the Class of 2012 with a Bachelor's in Health & Exercise Science. Right after that, I went on to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor since I was a little girl and graduated from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine in the Class of 2016.

I have a dog, Lan-Lan, and 2 cats, Tristan & Liam, and they are my furbabies! I enjoy baking, figure skating, listening to music, playing guitar/ukulele, writing songs, knitting/crocheting (because I’m secretly a grandma), and ALL things Disney (oh, I’m also a 5-year-old at heart).

I am "shy" at first, but once you get to know me, I'm really an open book!

I’m a proud PM&R Resident! Although I love taking care of my patients in the hospital/office setting, I’ve realized that we as physicians simply are not given the time or the opportunity to educate our patients on preventive care/preventive medicine. Growing up with an Eastern Medicine influence, I’m a firm believer in not taking medications unless we absolutely need to, and that’s why I have a huge passion for preventive medicine. Unfortunately, 2/3rds of the U.S. is currently either overweight or obese. As a doctor, I feel a responsibility to right this wrong that has occurred in today’s society, and the only way to do that is to motivate others to start making lifestyle changes through healthy, clean-eating and encouraging them to be more active.

So in early 2016, when I found out that I could incorporate my passion for fitness & nutrition and my background in Health & Exercise Science with my career in medicine, I jumped right on it!

On January 23, 2016, I made the vow to stop caring so much about what other people thought of me and to start taking care of myself and my body. I decided to start living life for myself - and no one else.

And you better believe that was the best decision of my life.

Today, even as a medical resident, working 80+hrs/wk, I am healthier, happier, and more confident than I have ever been in my whole entire life! And I want to share what has worked for me to help others feel the same way.

I'm here to show you as well as give you the tools you need to succeed - to live a healthy, happy, and fulfilling life! I love what I do as a doctor and a coach, and I love connecting with people who have a passion for helping others.

Can't wait to connect with you!
